Back again
January 29, 2024
Who says you can't revisit old journals... 14 years later!!!! So I've been there and back again and wanting to share insights and impressions recieved along the way. But as for now, I;m starting a new adventure of co-creating a new business of providing locally sourced meal kits for vacation rentals in the Summit/Wasatch County areas. Lyn Wood and I have bounced around ideas and intentions for a couple of months now and she has moved foreward with a letter of intent for a space in Henefer. This is exciting!! My task is in sourcing and creating recipes. I have been having so much fun in outreaching to producers and learning about small business resources. I really think that this concept could change the world in giving people the opportunity to eat local foods and with the provided intentions of a ready to use meal kit, they can have some direction in doing so.
I hope I have a firm grasp of what I am getting myself into. I have been blessed to stay at home with my children for the past 15 years. But with this endeavor; i pray for the wisdom to focus and set appropriate limits. Ode to allowing my work to recharge my batteries and fill my spirit with enthusiasm; thus in turn giving to my family and friends. "I'm still present!" I shout as my children take role.

I'm already back. This is kind of fun! Anyway, I just have to put a plug in for beautiful Cache Valley. I have lived in this valley for most of my life, excluding about 2 years of taking semmestars in St. George, (Loved it) Laie, Hawaii (Loved), and Provo (Maybe I'll like it more next time). Sure, Logan doesn't look like this picture right now in the begining of March, and it won't until about the middle of May, but I still love this area.We are just starting to get out of the dead of winter, (14 days until first day of Spring) and people are already starting to act more friendly and as though they are waking up out of thier winter grizzly hibernation. Love it! Its like we all go through this hard trial of the nation's worst air-quality inversion winter, and we come out of it happy and enthusiastic to reallize we are still allive and we all made it together, as a valley community. If you live in town, try to take note of this change in the next couple of weeks. I'm sure it will make you smile.
